Atlanta, GA April 2015—On Tuesday, April 14th HeroBox teamed up with the spouses of The Home Depot’s Leadership Team to help injured and aging veterans in the Atlanta area. Executive Director Ryan Housley remarked that “It really was a team effort. We were able to partner with The Home Depot Foundation, the Atlanta Community Tool Bank and HouseProud, a local non-profit group that specializes in renovating veteran homes. By working together we were able to provide 100 Homer Fixer-Upper kits to injured and aging veterans in the Atlanta area.”
The Homer Fixer-Upper kits included a 42 piece tool kit, flashlights, batteries, LED energy efficient light bulbs, microfiber towels and an assortment of small home improvement supplies. The kits will be delivered by HouseProud to injured and aging veterans as seen fit by the organization. HeroBox would like to thank the spouses of The Home Depot’s Leadership team for volunteering and supporting us during the event. HeroBox is also greatly appreciative to The Home Depot Foundation, the Atlanta Community Tool Bank and HouseProud for helping make this outreach possible.
